Configuration & Account Guide

JeVPN FAQs and Troubleshooting

Find solutions by account, connection, routes, and billing. Each answer starts with checks you can complete yourself; for order or account status issues, submit a ticket through the user panel.

Troubleshooting Order

Check the scope first, then change one setting

When troubleshooting a connection, first determine whether the issue affects one website, one app, the current device, or the entire local network. Then change only one setting at a time, such as switching routes, refreshing the subscription, or changing connection mode. This makes the underlying cause easier to identify and prevents multiple changes from interfering with one another.

Account

Account & Subscription

Account creation, configuration access, device changes, and platform support. Always get subscription configurations from the user panel for the current account.

Do I need an email address to create a JeVPN account?

No email address is required. Set a username and password to create your account. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but not reused for other important accounts, and keep your password secure. After creating the account, open the user panel to view plans, get client apps, and manage your subscription. If you switch browsers or devices, simply sign in with the same username and password; there is no need to create another account.

Where can I get my subscription configuration, and how do I update it?

Sign in to the user panel and use the client section to get the configuration linked to your account. Do not use subscription details forwarded by someone else. If the configuration is already imported, use the app's update subscription or refresh configuration option first. If the route list still has not changed, return to the panel, get a fresh configuration, and import it again. Subscription details are account access credentials, so avoid screenshots, public posts, or handing them to untrusted apps.

Do I need to buy another plan after changing devices?

No. JeVPN supports unlimited devices. Sign in to the same account on the new device, then get the relevant client app and subscription configuration from the user panel. You do not need to sign out the old device or buy separate plans for different platforms. To make troubleshooting easier, install and import the configuration on the new device first, confirm that the connection works, and then remove the configuration from the old device.

Which operating systems does JeVPN support?

Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux are supported. Use the client section of the user panel to get the app and configuration instructions for your current system. Do not apply installation steps for one system directly to another. If an existing configuration stops connecting after a system upgrade, update the client, authorize the network extension again, refresh the subscription, and retry.

Connection

Connections & Troubleshooting

Check connection status, app routing, subscription retrieval, and network changes one by one instead of changing all settings at once.

The client says it is connected, but webpages still will not open. What should I do?

Disconnect first and choose another route, then check that your browser is not using stale page cache. Next, verify that the client has the correct system proxy or tunnel mode enabled and that routing rules have not set the site to direct connection. If only one site is affected, switch the exit region and reopen it. If every site is affected, refresh the subscription, restart the client, and check the system time and network permissions.

Why can an app not use the proxy when my browser works normally?

This is usually related to app routing or system network permissions. First check whether the client is using rule mode or global mode, and whether the target app has been added to a direct-connection or bypass list. Some apps retain an old connection after launch; fully quit and reopen the app. If changing routes makes no difference, temporarily switch connection modes for comparison, then restore the routing settings suited to everyday use once you identify the cause.

What should I do if no routes appear after importing my subscription?

First confirm that the imported subscription configuration came from the current account panel, then run update subscription or refresh configuration in the client. If the list is still empty, delete the invalid configuration and get it from the panel again before importing it. Also check that the client has permission to read network configuration and that the system time is accurate. Do not manually edit addresses or credentials in the subscription; such changes can prevent the client from parsing the complete route list.

What should I do if the connection drops after sleep or a network change?

After the network environment changes, the existing connection may still point to the previous network interface. Disconnect JeVPN, wait for the current network to stabilize, and reconnect to the required route. If the client remains stuck on connecting, quit it completely and restart it, then check whether the system has granted network extension permission again. When switching between networks frequently, confirm before connecting that the underlying network can open common webpages normally.

Routing

Speed & Routes

Performance depends on the local network, cross-border path, exit region, and target service. Compare routes according to your intended use.

What should I check first when performance slows during peak hours?

Pause bandwidth-heavy syncing, downloads, and updates first, then compare different routes through nearby exit regions. Do not keep reconnecting to the same route: congestion at the entry point, exit distance, and the target service's region can all affect performance. Start by testing nearby regions, then switch route types based on your use case. If webpages work but video buffers, lower the automatic video quality as a comparison to determine whether the issue is the connection path or the content service.

Should I choose a route based on my current location or the target service?

Usually start with an exit that is geographically close to your current location and follows a relatively direct path. If the target service has a specific regional requirement, prioritize that service's region instead. Office work, web browsing, and file transfers benefit more from a stable connection, while streaming and regional content depend more on exit location. Change only one condition at a time when testing routes; otherwise, switching the client mode, exit region, and local network together makes the source of any difference difficult to identify.

How broad is JeVPN's route coverage?

JeVPN covers 90+ countries / 200+ routes. Routes are organized by region, city, and route type; the user panel and server page show the options currently available. More routes do not mean that the farthest exit is best for every use case. For everyday use, consider geographic distance and the target service's region first, then switch based on connection performance. If a single route is under maintenance, choose another route in the same region.

What should I do if a streaming service or AI tool says my region does not match?

First confirm that the selected exit region matches the target service's regional requirements. Then fully close the site or app, switch routes, and open it again. A browser's saved sign-in state, regional cache, or existing connection may continue using the previous exit, so changing routes only inside the client may not take effect immediately. If routes in the same region perform differently, try them one by one and establish a fresh connection each time. Also confirm that the region set on the account itself is not conflicting.

Billing

Billing & Refunds

Monthly subscriptions, data packages, upgrades, payments, and refunds follow their respective rules. Check your current account status before placing an order.

Which monthly subscription plans are available?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month with 60GB · ¥18/month with 250GB · ¥28/month with 500GB. Choose based on your actual needs for browsing, video, file transfers, and other traffic rather than looking only at one-time speed. All monthly subscriptions can be managed in the user panel. If you need more data, you can upgrade based on your remaining allowance instead of creating another account.

When does monthly subscription data reset?

Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date. The reset cycle is based on the actual activation date, not a shared calendar-month schedule. Check the current cycle information in the user panel when reviewing your remaining data. If data remains near the reset date, you can continue using it normally. After the reset, the new monthly allowance applies to the current subscription cycle; the existing client configuration usually only needs a refresh, not a reinstall.

What data packages are available, and do they expire?

Data packages: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. They remain available until used and never expire, making them suitable for irregular usage or for managing data according to actual consumption. Data packages follow different billing rules from monthly subscriptions. Before choosing, decide whether you need a fixed-cycle allowance or data that can be kept and used gradually over time.

How is a mid-cycle monthly plan upgrade calculated?

For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before upgrading, check your current plan, remaining cycle, and target plan in the user panel, then submit the change to avoid repeating the process across multiple pages. After the upgrade, return to the account overview to confirm the plan status and refresh the subscription in the client so the route configuration matches the account. If the page does not update, sign in again and check once more.

Which payment methods does JeVPN support?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Available methods are listed on the checkout page in the user panel. Complete the order and payment there; do not transfer funds through unfamiliar external pages. After paying, check the order or account overview for the status. If the order status has not synced, do not submit repeated payments. Keep the order details and submit a ticket through the user panel for review.

How do I request a refund?

JeVPN offers refunds within 14 days, with a full refund if you are dissatisfied with your first payment. To apply, sign in to the user panel, submit a ticket, and provide the order details and a description of the issue for review. Eligibility is determined by whether it was the first payment and when the request was submitted, so apply promptly once you know the service does not meet your needs. Do not create duplicate tickets during the review, as scattered order details can make verification harder.
